As part of the 116 plot residential design, we provided detailed 3d designs of the attenuation basin which incorporated an easily maintainable sediment forebay, overspill gabion and permanent water body area for enhanced biodiversity and water quality benefits. The basin storage maintained the site’s previous green field surface water discharge rates and additional volume to allow for future climate change.
Other work associated with the surface water management of the site included designs for temporary works silt and water flow interception and improvements to existing ditches along the site boundaries to restore flow capacities.
We also carried out the detailed design of the onsite roads for S38 adoption purposes, as well as the design of the S278 works relating to the site access junction.
