Following on from previous successful projects for Dick Lovett including Ferrari Maserati, BMW, Porsche and Jaguar Land Rover dealerships in Swindon, Bristol, Tewkesbury and, most recently, Melksham, Cole Easdon was appointed to provide Transport Planning, Water Management and Infrastructure Design services to support a planning application for two car showrooms (one of which is to be bespoke for Porsche) on a site in Newport.

The proposals comprised the development of land at Celtic Springs, Lakeside Drive, Newport to provide a 3,309sqm. Porsche Showroom and 2,314sqm. Workshop, together with an adjacent 899sqm. Satellite Showroom and 1,037sqm. Workshop, together with associated access, car parking and landscaping. The proposed Porsche Centre will displace an existing Porsche Centre in Llandough, Cardiff.

Our Experts’ Input:

Working alongside Pier Architecture, our teams were involved from conception through to completion, providing the Transport Assessment, Travel Plan, Flood Risk Assessment and Drainage Strategy for the planning submission.

Our Infrastructure Design team formalised the drainage design for approval with the Newport SuDS Approval Body before carrying out the detailed design of the onsite roads and drainage infrastructure.
