Cole Easdon currently performs the role of Travel Plan Co-ordinator (TPC) for the Pontoon Reach development in East London.

This development features four blocks providing a total of 295 apartments on a site within the Royal Docks corridor and located close to the Thames Barrier and London City Airport.  The site is highly accessible, being located in very close proximity to the Docklands Light Railway, local bus services, local river services and walking and cycling routes.

The TPC role aims to encourage greater use of sustainable forms of transport and to assist the developer with fulfilling the requirements of the approved Travel Plan.

Each dwelling was issued with a hard copy Travel Information Pack.  These provided a wealth of information including details of local facilities within close proximity to the development, local walking and cycling routes, a summary of local bus, river, London Underground, Elizabeth Line, Docklands Light Railway and National Rail services, together with information about car sharing and electric vehicles.

Our Experts’ Input:

As part of the Travel Plan Co-ordinator role, Cole Easdon undertakes annual monitoring of the progress of the Travel Plan, with surveys issued to local residents asking for details of their travel patterns and behaviors.

The results of the survey are then used to determine whether the development is meeting the targets set in the approved Travel Plan, and a summary report is submitted to the London Borough of Newham.

This is one of a number of sites that Cole Easdon have been appointed in the role of Travel Plan Co-ordinator.
