The proposals for the site comprise a residential-led mixed use development providing 263 new homes together with 5,000m2 of commercial space.

The scheme includes proposals for extensive improvements to the public realm along Larch Drive, Gunnersbury Avenue, and Great West Road, offering more space for pedestrians and cyclists. Vehicular access is off Larch Drive, with 2 car lifts providing access to the basement car park levels.

Our Experts’ Input:

Having worked on a previous planning application on the site, we were appointed to provide Transport Planning services once again for this new scheme.

We liaised with TfL and LBH to ensure that the scope of the Transport Assessment was agreed in advance, including securing agreement to the relevant trip rates to use.  As part of the Transport Assessment, an Active Travel Zone Assessment was undertaken to audit the quality of the walking and cycling routes to key destinations. We also prepared a preliminary design for a scheme of offsite traffic calming works to Larch Drive.
