Cole Easdon currently performs the role of Travel Plan Co-ordinator (TPC) for the Blakemore Manor development in Hertford.

The development of 254 residential dwellings is highly accessible being located in very close proximity to Hertford North railway station with direct services into London Moorgate, local bus services and the Cole Green Way, which is an attractive off road cycle route towards Hertford town centre.  A number of local facilities are also located within a short walking distance of the site.

As the TPC, we encourage greater use of sustainable forms of transport by residents, and otherwise fulfil the requirements of the approved Travel Plan on behalf of the developer.

Each dwelling was issued a Travel Information Pack.  These packs include details of local facilities within close proximity to the development, local walking and cycling routes, a summary of local bus and rail services, information about car sharing and electric vehicles and a list of contacts to help residents make more sustainable travel choices.

The first occupants of each residential unit are entitled to reimbursement towards the cost of walking and cycling equipment or public transport.

Our Experts’ Input:

As part of the Travel Plan Co-ordinator role, Cole Easdon undertakes annual monitoring with surveys issued to local residents asking for details of their travel patterns and behaviours.

The results of the survey are used to determine whether the development is meeting the targets set in the approved Travel Plan, and how best to help residents travel more sustainably in the future.

This is one of a number of sites that Cole Easdon have been appointed in the role of Travel Plan Co-ordinator.
