50 Years of Motorways
You may already be aware that on 5th December 2008 our first motorway, the Preston By Pass, will be fifty years old. Birthday celebrations around this date will mark the start of a series of events to focus attention on the enormous economic, social and engineering achievement of the motorway programme for the UK and how motorways will adapt for the future.
